About Us
Who are we?
We met at different points, some of us are uni friends, and some through a workshop. Somehow we ended up in the same space, doing similar work, and got the chance to work on a project together.
at became Abort the Stigma in 2018, an art project sharing stories from people who had abortions. We were told there would be backlash, but we just went ahead anyway.
The next year, we did Gugurkan Stigma 2.0, creating videos based on these stories, including role reversals where men were pregnant.
Along the way, we had our ups and downs. At one point, things really broke. But somehow, we found our way back and stayed. This initiative comes from that.
Through all of this, and also through our work, we kept seeing the same thing. People struggling to access abortion, not knowing where to go, worried about safety, cost, or being judged.
So this is what we’re trying to do here, to share clear, trusted information, connect you to safe options, and support you as you figure out what feels right for you.

Why we’re here
We want to make it easier to find clear, trusted information and safe options.
